I have 12 minutes before I need to leave for teaching, so I thought that I would write some sort of randomness for everyone to read, if you would like. Believe it or not, 'the kid,' or Ken Griffey Junior for those of you who don't know past time baseball nicknames, who was once my favorite baseball player has chosen to return to my home team, the Mariners. It is my guess that he is going back to try and recapture his glory moments that seem to fleet away with moving to a different team. And this has been true as well for many other players who chose to go to different teams (Randy Johnson). With an easy fling of a bat 'the kid' was able to power a ball over any part of the outfield fence and begin his swaggering 3, 4, or 5 step walk before trotting around the bases... and ever since this other steriod using prouds have begun to take a "glory walk" before their deserved run around the bases (Barry Bonds... say that in a high pitch sound and you might have reached his drugged messed voice). Don't get me wrong though, I am happy Junior is returning to the Mariners... they need all the help they can get after only winning 61 games last season. But what is the fate of Junior and the Mariners? Baseball, "America's favorite sport." Well, we can only wait and see.
